- ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆I recently hired a van from Economy Hire because C***** (Cheaper and better) had no vans left. I was initially disappointed with the price as on the phone they said 59.99 and didnt mention the VAT on top. As he was checking the vehicle with me he was telling me it was a ‘good old van’ but the van wasnt in a fully working order. One brake light was out, part worn tyres, passenger window not working, rear shutter tight and the tail lift was getting jammed while it was lowering nearly resulting in an accident on one occasion. We had no choice to carry on the day but because of the tail lift fault the day was longer. When I tried to take the van back after hours they failed to let me know about the tokens needed and I couldnt drop the van off. I came back in the morning and the person at the service desk was messing around with his mobile while I was trying to explain which I wasnt happy with, I told him about the faults and that i wasn’t happy and he immediately started to show signs that he didnt care and he wasnt going to do anything about it and he reminded me that I mentioned that I wasn’t happy with the price yesterday which led me to believe he thought I was just trying to get money back for that reason. When I showed him the trail lift, it wasn’t jamming like the day before typically but it was stuttering and wasn’t smooth. The thing I felt angry with the most is that he didnt care and was not prepared to try his best to make me feel happier, he became rude about it and I left. I wanted to share this with everyone.
